A mix between Bellingham and Kante? Or did Liverpool dodge a bullet with this expensive Chelsea signing?
Which player has been described as 'a mix between Bellingham and Kante'?
As was widely reported at the time, Moises Caicedo was a target for Liverpool over the summer, but decided he only wanted to join Chelsea. Despite a fee being agreed between Liverpool and Brighton, with a medical even scheduled for the Ecuador international, he informed the Reds that his desire was to move to Stamford Bridge instead.

Chelsea also beat them to Romeo Lavia, leading them to sign Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch instead, while Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai’s signatures were secured earlier in the summer in this major Liverpool midfield rebuild.
Caicedo hasn’t started well in this struggling Chelsea side, though of course it’s early days yet, and his agency are talking him up as a hybrid of Jude Bellingham and N’Golo Kante, even if we’re yet to see anything like that kind of form from the former Brighton man just yet.
