AC Milan eyeing a new manager after deciding to sack Stefano Pioli
The Italian giants have made the big decision over their manager.
The decision to sack head coach Stefano Pioli at the end of the current campaign has already been made by AC Milan.
Pioli has established a successful career at San Siro with Rossoneri.
In 235 games across all competitions, they have 129 victories and just 51 losses to their name. During that time, they have also won the 2021–22 Serie A title.
Not too long ago, Milan managed to string together seven straight victories in both Serie A and the Europa League, giving fans hope that their team might win the latter competition.
However, since then they have been eliminated by Roma in the Europa League with a score line of 3-1 on aggregate.
A 3-3 draw with Sassuolo in Serie A was followed by a 2-1 defeat against rivals Inter Milan, who have managed to win the Serie A title.
Fabrizio Romano has reported on his X account that the Serie A giants have taken the decision to part ways with Pioli.
He reported:
Stefano Pioli will be sacked by AC Milan board at the end of the season despite public statements after the Derby.
AC Milan are already looking for new manager.
Milan are currently behind Inter by 17 points in the league standings, but they have a five-point lead over Juventus in the battle for second place.
There are still five games left for AC Milan, starting with a matchup against Juventus on Saturday night in Turin, where a victory by either team may be crucial.
Inter managed to win the league title after a win against AC Milan. Milan's rivals have now won 20 Serie A titles.
Meanwhile, Milan star Mike Maignan's future at the club has been the subject of conversation. Matteo Moretto has the latest update on it.
It remains to be seen who Milan will hire now after deciding to sack Pioli but their search for a new boss has already started.
