Anthony Martial is on his way out of Man United at the end of the season
The French attacker's time at the club is coming to an end after a period of nine years.
Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial is definitely leaving the club at the end of the season.
According to information provided by Fabrizio Romano on his X account, the Frenchman is set to reach the end of his career for the Red Devils.
Romano confirmed his exit by writing:
"Anthony Martial will leave Man United at the end of the season, no doubts.
He’s gonna pick his fav option as next club in the coming months, now focused on recovery."
After joining Man United back in 2015 from Monaco, Martial showed promise in the early stage of his Old Trafford career.
His goal on debut against Liverpool at Old Trafford remains the highlight of his Man United career and it showed promise for the future.
Although there have been moments of brilliance since those early days, the former Monaco star has not been able to fully shine at Old Trafford due to a string of unlucky injuries and inconsistent form.
Under Erik ten Hag, the 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order and has only made four Premier League starts so far this season before missing action due to a groin injury.
After nine years with the Premier League club, Martial's contract is scheduled to end in June, and he will be leaving Old Trafford as a free agent.
The French attacker is not in the long term plans of the manager or the club.
A lot of changes are expected at Old Trafford in the summer, with Romano providing the latest update on the board reshuffle at the club.
Martial may not be the only Frenchman on his way out of the club with Raphael Varane also facing an uncertain future.
The former Real Madrid defender has not been offered a new contract by the club, with his current deal expiring at the end of the season.
Martial had offers from Turkey and France back in January but it remains to be seen where his future lies as nothing is decided at this stage, apart from the fact that he is leaving Man United.
