🚨 Report: Liverpool launch £65m bid for 9 G/A star who could be dream Salah replacement
Is this major move set to go through?
Liverpool have reportedly made a bid to Bournemouth for in-form Ghana winger Antoine Semenyo.
According to journalist Indy Kaila, posting on X, the Reds have presented an offer of £65m to the Cherries, with the player also said to be keen on the move to Anfield.
With an impressive record of six goals and three assists in his first ten league appearances so far this season, Semenyo is one of the most in-form attacking players in Europe, and it’s surely only a matter of time before he earns a move to a bigger club.

According to Indy Kaila, Liverpool have presented Bournemouth with a £65m offer, and a deal could be done as long as his clause is met, while it seems personal terms would be no issue.
What we’re hearing about Antoine Semenyo to Liverpool transfer
I’m afraid to say that if I were a Liverpool fan I would not be getting too excited just yet, and would take these transfer rumours with a pinch of salt.
Semenyo is undoubtedly a fantastic player who’s likely to at least be on Liverpool’s radar, but all the sources we’ve spoken to suggest that this has not yet led to anything more concrete.
Indy Kaila has shown that his work deserves respect after he majorly enhanced his reputation as a serious transfer journalist during the summer, though it’s worth noting that few other outlets have gone as far with this saga as him.
Perhaps we’ll be proven wrong, and things could of course change quickly, but for now our stance here at the Daily Briefing is that Liverpool and other top clubs have a normal appreciation of Semenyo, but nothing more.
So far, there have not been any talks or offers made that we know of, but if that changes we will do our best to update you.
Do Liverpool need Antoine Semenyo, and can they afford the transfer fee?
For one thing, Semenyo is likely to cost a great deal more than the £65m figure Indy Kaila is talking about.
In fact, he has previously posted that Semenyo could cost as much as £100m this January. though that price could come down in the summer.
Liverpool have already spent a lot of money on new attacking signings, bringing in Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike in during the summer for vast sums of money, breaking their transfer record twice.
The Reds could perhaps do with a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah after a slow start to the campaign from the ageing Egyptian forward, but major changes like that don’t usually happen in the middle of the season.
