Why Armando Broja doesn’t want another loan move
This is a complicated saga, but here’s my best effort at summarising my latest understanding of the Armando Broja situation:
Broja is not interested in a loan deal. Chelsea would be open to a loan but the player no longer wants a loan after last year in Southampton, and before that in Vitesse.
This is why with West Ham the negotiation is for a £30m permanent deal. The player's priority is to have guaranteed game time and to feel important in the club, but it is also true that Broja knows that Thomas Tuchel is doing everything to keep him.
Tuchel is a big fan of Broja, which is why Chelsea would be open to another loan, but the player is now at the stage where he wants a permanent move and to play regularly. If this happens, Blues fans better hope the club can agree a buy-back clause!
