Players in
Riccardo Calafiori - Signed from Bologna after establishing himself as one of the most exciting young defenders in Europe last season, Riccardo Calafiori should prove an excellent addition for Arsenal this term. Mikel Merino - Unfortunately injured shortly after joining, Mikel Merino has joined Arsenal on the back of a superb season with Real Sociedad, and then with the Spanish national team as they won Euro 2024 earlier this summer. The 28-year-old should prove a useful additional option in midfield once he’s back to fitness, and it was widely reported that other top clubs like Barcelona and Atletico Madrid wanted him too.
Raheem Sterling - A Deadline Day loan signing from Chelsea, the arrival of Raheem Sterling will have taken many people by surprise, but it looks like a good opportunity taken by Arsenal. Charles Watts has more insight into this deal in his exclusive column from earlier this week.
