Arsenal
Arsenal went top of the Premier League after beating Brentford 2-1 on Saturday evening thanks to goals from Declan Rice and Kai Havertz! — Can they go all the way and lift their first title since 2004? — Let me know your predictions by leaving a comment below.
Mikel Arteta has praised Aaron Ramsdale’s professionalism despite losing his place to David Raya."We try to make every decision to try to play better, to improve the team and that’s it,” the Spaniard said. "One of the biggest qualities of Aaron is his character and his charisma, his enthusiasm, his energy. He is contagious with that.”

Barcelona
Xavi loves Pau Cubarsi. The Barcelona boss spoke really highly of the young centre-back. “He doesn't look like he's 17! — He's super calm when he plays,” he said.

Joshua Kimmich, who has been linked with Liverpool, has spoken about his future. He said: “In general, my situation is clear, I still have a contract (until 2025). For me it's about showing my performance, that's the most important thing. And then we’ll see what happens.”
Bayern director Max Eberl has spoken about the club’s search for a new manager ahead of Thomas Tuchel’s departure at the end of the season. He said: “We want it as quickly as possible. But it also has to fit. We already have a list of priorities that we want to work through and make sure we do it as quickly as possible.”

Liverpool
Liverpool are close to bringing Michael Edwards back to the club after the Reds’ final attempt was exclusively revealed by me. It’s imminent — the final details are being discussed — but for sure, Liverpool are now very confident. Richard Hughes is also ready to accept and join Edwards as part of Liverpool’s new structure.
Mo Salah has revealed what happened on the day he discovered Jurgen Klopp was leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. “We had a meeting at 10:30 a.m. which is weird,” he said. “I come in and saw his agent and thought he’s renewed his contract!”. “And then van Dijk told me he was leaving… I was like: why?!”
The Egyptian admitted he will one day leave Anfield but confirmed Klopp’s impending departure will not influence his decision.

Man United
Erik Ten Hag has provided some insight into why Man United will play the majority of the rest of the season without a left-back. "Medical staff assured me that [Luke] Shaw and [Tyrell] Malacia will both be fit in January, and so you will have two left full-backs,” he said. "Then you have a third one, so I would always have to disappoint one full-back.”
On the subject of left-backs, I can confirm United have already planned to sign a new (young) left-back in the summer. The final shortlist has not been decided yet but regardless of what happens with Tyrell Malacia, the club want a new left-back.
Ten Hag is also a big fan of Alejandro Garnancho. “I love working with Ale Garnacho,” he said after yesterday’s 2-0 win against Everton. “He likes a challenge and he has huge potential”. “He's progressing very well, and we're pleased with this. His contribution today was huge again.”
Andre Onana is happy with the progress he is making following his shakey start at Man United. “Now I'm better and I'm very happy,” he said. “You will see much more from me, trust me. “Hopefully in the coming years, we'll fight for big things, and hopefully we get top four this season because it's very important.”
Newcastle United
Lewis Hall's loan to Newcastle will become permanent soon. It is just a matter of time. Chelsea have no doubts about receiving the agreed £30 million fee. They will use it as profit to help meet Financial Fair Play rules. Newcastle consider Hall a player capable of developing long-term.
Real Madrid
Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao will be back after the upcoming international break.

He said: “I've never seen a player who gets persecuted like him. I don't forget and forgive. Once there was a player who kicked him in the head and nothing happened, while he pushed someone once and people are asking for a red.”
Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou on what Spurs fans can expect from the summer transfer window: "It depends on availability of players, suitability of players. There could be more activity, there could be less activity, but again, what we want to do is make sure we bring in the right ones.”
The Aussie manager isn’t expecting any big-money signings though. He added: "£100 million signing for Spurs in the summer? If I had the luxury of £100 million, I would rather get two £50 million players than one player for £100 million. I always felt that it is really important how you use the funds you have available and know they are not limitless.”
Postecoglou also gave a defiant answer when asked ahead of today’s game against Aston Villa how important qualifying for the Champions League is. The 58-year-old is adamant he doesn’t just want Spurs to participate in the big competitions — he wants them to win them.

Djed Spence hasn’t given up on becoming an important player for Spurs. He sent fans a message recently: “I don’t think Spurs fans know me as a player. They’ve probably seen me from Forest days but I haven’t played so they don’t know what I’m capable of. The best is yet to come.”
