Arsenal

Arsenal 0-1 West Ham United: Arsenal suffered a home defeat against Graham Potter’s West Ham United side. The Gunners lost because of a goal scored by Jarrod Bowen in a match which saw another red card for Mikel Arteta’s side. Myles Lewis-Skelly was sent off after a foul on Mohamed Kudus for a last man challenge. Mikel Merino started as the striker for Arsenal but failed to make any impact in a poor result for the Gunners.
Arteta after the defeat: “I am very, very angry. Very disappointed. That was nowhere near the level needed to win the Premier League”. “Congrats to West Ham but a lot from our side we didn’t get right. I never felt that we were at the standard and the level that we needed”.
Arsenal are now eight points behind Arne Slot’s Liverpool side who will face Manchester City on Sunday.
Atalanta
Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini: “Lookman felt offended, but I didn't want to offend anyone. He entered with fantastic approach against Club Brugge”. “If he starts training to improve on penalties… with his exceptional skills Ademola can become our first penalty taker”.
