Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has emphasised the value of Thomas Partey to the team and stated how much they missed his contributions when he was sidelined due to injury.
After sustaining a muscle injury in October, the 30-year-old midfielder has just recently fully recovered.
Partey has performed admirably since making a return, greatly aiding Arsenal in their title quest.
Partey was given the opportunity to start for Arsenal against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday due to his fantastic performance in the Gunners' 5-0 victory against Chelsea.
His presence was vital as the Gunners won the North London derby 3-2 after a fierce battle, increasing their hopes of winning the title.
In the North London Derby on Sunday afternoon, the Ghanaian played the whole match as the Gunners won all three points.
Partey has played for Arsenal in their previous three games, starting the last two matches against Chelsea and Tottenham.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on his X account, Arteta expressed his admiration for Partey and praised the midfielder.
The Arsenal manager said, as quoted by Romano:
"He’s a really important player and we have missed him for many months. He looks in great shape".
"It’s his presence, his quality, his physicality and his experience".
With three games left to play, manager Mikel Arteta and his team want to win against Bournemouth, Manchester United and Everton.
Their ultimate objective is to break Arsenal's 20-year title drought in the Premier League.
The Gunners will also be closely monitoring Manchester City in the hopes that they will concede points in their remaining games to maintain Arsenal's lead in the standings.
