Ronaldo regain form as Portugal smash Uzbekistan
Portugal produced a dominant performance as they beat Uzbekistan 5-0 in their Group K match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo was the star of the show, scoring twice to lead his side to a comfortable victory.
Nuno Mendes and Rafael Leão also got on the scoresheet, while an own goal added to Uzbekistan’s misery. Portugal looked much sharper after their opening draw against DR Congo and controlled the game with confidence.
The win moved Portugal onto four points and strengthened their chances of reaching the knockout stage

Croatia get crucial win over Panama
Croatia kept their 2026 FIFA World Cup hopes alive with a narrow 1-0 win over Panama in Group L.
After a quiet first half, substitute Ante Budimir made the difference by finishing from close range early in the second half.
Panama worked hard and defended with discipline, but they could not find the final touch in attack. Croatia controlled the key moments better and protected their lead until full-time

Colombia beat DR Congo to reach World Cup knockouts
Colombia continued their strong 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over DR Congo in Group K.
Daniel Muñoz scored the decisive goal in the second half, finally breaking down a stubborn Congolese defense.
The victory moved Colombia to six points from two matches and secured their place in the knockout stage. DR Congo, meanwhile, remain in the race but now need a big result in their final group game.
