  • Against Manchester United, Viktor Gyökeres didn’t have a shot in a league game for the first time since he left Coventry in 2023.

  • Mikel Arteta: “Gyökeres did a lot of very good things, I’m happy. You can tell in our high press and in the rhythm we demand, there's things we need to work on. Coming away to Manchester United and getting a win in your first game, a very good start”.

  • Gary Neville: "Arsenal really dug in. They showed a lot of resilience. We know how good they are defensively. Raya made some really good saves and the back four got better as the game went on. Arsenal were never at their best but to come to Manchester, whether it is Old Trafford or Man City's ground, it's always tough. To get 3 points is big for Mikel Arteta." (Sky Sports)

  • Since the start of 2023-24 season, Arsenal have scored 31 Premier League goals from corners, it is at least 11 more than any other side. (BBC)

  • Riccardo Calafiori: "Hopefully I'm going to play a lot, but if not, there is another teammate who is going to play and be even better."

AS Roma

  • AS Roma and Manchester United are progressing in talks for Jadon Sancho, but his salary demands and uncertainty about joining Roma remain the key obstacles. (Rudy Galetti)

  • AS Roma have asked about Tyrell Malacia while negotiating for Jadon Sancho. Malacia is open to the move, though Besiktas are also interested. (Fabrizio Romano)
