🔴 Bayern Munich set to land exciting youngster in 2024 after fee agreed
Bundesliga giant making moves
Though there’s still around six weeks to go until the January transfer window opens for business, it would appear that Bayern Munich are getting their deals done early.
The Bavarians won’t be able to get any new signings to put pen to paper until the window officially opens on New Year’s Day, but the groundwork can be done beforehand.
Daily Briefing columnist, Fabrizio Romano, writing on his X account, has given his famous ‘here we go’ treatment to Bayern’s pursuit of exciting youngster, Nestory Irankunda.
‘EXCLUSIVE: Bayern are closing in on deal to sign 17 year old talent Nestory Irankunda, here we go!’ he wrote. ‘2006 born winger on the verge of joining Bayern in 2024 from Australian side Adelaide United. Understand fee verbally agreed is £3m fixed fee plus add-ons.’
The Australian forward already has one goal in his three A League matches this season, and has played just 264 minutes of senior football.
Clearly, Bayern have seen something that they like, and even though it would appear that Irankunda is one for the future, their pursuit of him shows how seriously the club takes its transfer business when exciting talent becomes available.
After an initial wobble under Thomas Tuchel, Bayern are really firing on all cylinders now domestically and in Europe, with Harry Kane particularly coming up with some remarkable numbers.
The 17-year-old will have no better finisher to learn the trade from than the England captain.
What do you think of Bayern’s move for Nestory Irankunda? Let us know in the comments.
