Premier League Round-up
Sunderland stun Chelsea at Stamford Bridge
A stoppage-time strike from Chemsdine Talbi completed Sunderland’s comeback in a 2–1 win over Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca’s side struck first after just four minutes, finishing a slick move with Alejandro Garnacho rolling in his first goal for the club. But Sunderland hit back on 21 minutes. Wilson Isidor scored for the visitors.
With the game heading for a draw, Talbi popped up in added time to steer home the winner, sealing a dramatic turnaround for the Black Cats.

Mbeumo at the double as Man United beat Brighton
Bryan Mbeumo scored twice as Manchester United claimed a third straight Premier League win with a 4–2 victory over Brighton at Old Trafford.
Matheus Cunha opened the scoring on 24 minutes with his first United goal, curling past Jan Paul van Hecke, before Casemiro’s deflected effort made it 2–0.
Mbeumo extended the lead just after the hour mark, but Danny Welbeck pulled one back for Brighton with a brilliant free-kick. Charalampos Kostoulas then headed in a second deep into stoppage time.
Mbeumo sealed the result in the 96th minute, smashing home his second to secure United’s fourth consecutive home win.

Liverpool suffer fourth consecutive league defeat
Liverpool’s hopes of retaining their Premier League crown have taken a major blow following a 3-2 defeat to Brentford that leaves their title defence hanging by a thread.
Dango Ouattara opened the scoring before Kevin Schade and Igor Thiago piled on further misery for the defending champions.
Although Milos Kerkez pulled one back to give Liverpool a glimmer of hope and Mohamed Salah finally broke his goal drought, the damage had already been done.

Arne Slot on losses after Brentford defeat: “The most concerning thing is you lose four in a row, after you judge performance. For me this was the worst of all the losses.”
Arne Slot: “Football is about scoring goals but it’s also about not conceding goals. For so many games now we have conceded 1,2 or 3 goals and every time almost in the first 5 mins. It would definitely help if we score goals but that only helps if as a team we can keep a clean sheet.”
Arne Slot: “If you change quite a lot during the summer, it is not a surprise it goes a bit like this but I did not expect it to go for four losses in a row. A bumpy road is not surprising but four losses in a row... it is not an excuse but we have had five away games in six.”

Amorim on Casemiro: ‘He’s an example for everyone. In the beginning he was behind every midfielder, even Toby (Collyer). But he fought and he worked and now he’s back in the national team.’
