Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino outlines club's future transfer strategy
The Chelsea manager wants his club to sign more experienced players.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has advised the club to sign more experienced players moving forward.
As stated by the Chelsea boss and reported by Fabrizio Romano on X.com, the Blues want players with experience to handle challenging situations.
Chelsea threw away the lead twice in their match against Sheffield United last week, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
But the Blues may need a little more experience next season, Pochettino said before Everton's Monday night visit to Stamford Bridge.
The Argentine manager said, as quoted by Romano: "We need to bring some experienced players this summer and also more young players".
"That is all about talking with the club and analysing and to design the strategy for the next season and go fight for big things".
The only younger Premier League team is Burnley, with Chelsea being the second youngest squad.
Pochettino would be hoping to turn around Chelsea's fortunes next season after a disappointing campaign.
The Premier League club have struggled to compete this season and are currently sitting in ninth position in the league.
In the weeks to come, the Argentine manager intends to meet with the Stamford Bridge leadership to go over the team's summer transfer policy.
Pochettino is determined to head the Chelsea project and make them fight for big trophies next season.
The Blues have seen their rivals shine domestically and on the European stage this season and they would be hoping to do the same next season.
Chelsea’s transfer business has already kicked off with one of the players certain to leave the club.
The Premier League club will be without a number of players when they face Everton on Monday night.
