The Italian will be officially appointed as the Chelsea manager after signing the contract.
Chelsea will make the appointment of new manager Enzo Maresca official today.
The Blues parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino after the Premier League season ended and they identified Leicester City manager Maresca as their top target.
Now, the Premier League club have made progress in completing the deal with the Italian manager, who will be announced as the Chelsea boss today.
According to information provided by Fabrizio Romano on X, the contracts between the manager and the club have been signed.
Maresca will be signing a contract until June 2029, with an option to extend it to 2030.
Romano tweeted:
"Enzo Maresca will be announced today as new Chelsea manager. All contracts are signed, also staff included.
"Deal valid until June 2029, with club option until June 2030.
"Leicester City will receive €10m compensation for Maresca + extra for staff.
"Here we go, confirmed."
After a difficult season, Chelsea decided to let Pochettino leave the club having joined Stamford Bridge only last summer.
The Blues finished sixth in the Premier League after an inconsistent season. However, their performance in the cup competitions was satisfactory.
Chelsea reached the Carabao Cup final and the semifinal of the FA Cup. They lost to Liverpool and Manchester City respectively.
The west Londoners are hoping to find success again and they feel the new journey under Maresca can provide them with the perfect platform to shine.
The club has shown faith in the new manager by giving him a long term contract that will last for a minimum of five years.
Maresca guided Leicester City to the Championship title which confirmed their promotion to the Premier League after just one season in the second tier of English football.
The Foxes will receive a €10m compensation from the Premier League club to let their manager leave for Chelsea.
With all formalities taken care of, the Blues will announce the appointment of the Italian manager today.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville ahead of the summer transfer window.
