England shocked by late Argentina onslaught
England suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat to Argentina in the 2026 World Cup semifinal after surrendering a late lead.
Anthony Gordon put England ahead in the 55th minute, giving Thomas Tuchel’s side hope of reaching their first World Cup final since 1966.
Argentina responded dramatically in the closing stages.
