🚨 "I think..." - Enzo Maresca hints at possible Chelsea transfer exit following speculation
He's been linked with a move away from Chelsea...
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has told his press conference today that it’s normal for players like Filip Jorgensen to consider their futures when they’re not playing.
The Italian tactician admitted he hadn’t spoken to the Danish goalkeeper about the recent transfer rumours, but he didn’t do too much to play the stories down either.
Jorgensen has struggled for playing time at Chelsea since joining from Villarreal in the summer of 2024, playing only seven Premier League games in total, and just one so far this season when Robert Sanchez was suspended.
Sanchez remains the clear first choice for Chelsea, and this has led to journalists such as Fabrizio Romano and Ben Jacobs reporting on Jorgensen potentially looking to leave Stamford Bridge.

What did Enzo Maresca say about Filip Jorgensen transfer?
When asked about the Jorgensen rumours, Maresca told his press conference: “I spoke with Filip at the beginning of the season and I didn’t speak with Filip in the last days about that.
“I think all the players that they don’t play a lot or they don’t use to play, they would like to get more minutes, more games, it’s completely normal. But I didn’t speak with Filip.”
We’ll have to see what this ends up meaning for Jorgensen’s future, but it seems likely that he’s not someone Chelsea are going to keep hold of at all costs.
The Denmark international will quite reasonably feel that he’s too good to be warming the bench for CFC, so one imagines he’ll have opportunities to start games elsewhere.
For now, no specific clubs are being linked with Jorgensen, but it will be interesting to see if that changes as we get closer to January.
