Erik ten Hag praises Jadon Sancho for Champions League heroics
Man United boss called Sancho "fantastic" after his latest performance.
After Borussia Dortmund overcame Atletico Madrid to go to the Champions League semifinal, Erik ten Hag praised "fantastic" Jadon Sancho.
Sancho was a key player in Dortmund's triumph, starting both legs of their quarterfinal Champions League match against Atletico Madrid and helping them win 5–4 on aggregate.
When discussing the English player, ten Hag stated, "that is not the issue," when asked about Sancho's performances changing his mind about him.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on his X account, the Man United manager praised the 24-year-old player and called him "fantastic".
ten Hag said, as quoted by Romano:
“Sancho’s performances changing my mind? No. We know Jadon is a fantastic football player, so that is not a surprise for us…”.
“That is not the issue”.
“He made his contribution to the result for Dortmund. A great performance, for sure”.
ten Hag confessed Sancho's brilliance and made it clear that he had no doubts about the winger's quality.
He lavished praise on Sancho for bringing his career back to life in Germany and admitted that Sancho made his contribution to the result for the German club.
