Lionel Messi confirms plan to stay at Inter Miami

As I reported recently, Lionel Messi has now confirmed that he is not going to leave Inter Miami for a loan move back to Europe. The MLS season is now over and some people were hoping to see Messi do what David Beckham and Thierry Henry did and come back to Europe during the close-season in the US, but this is not going to happen.

From what I’m told, Messi always had the same idea - stay at Inter Miami, and not go out on loan to Barcelona or any other club. He will get the chance to play some football with Argentina in November, and then in December he will rest and relax a bit before returning for pre-season with Inter Miami in January. Then the new MLS season starts again in February.
