Alvaro Carreras to Real Madrid has been verbally agreed. The Spanish left-back will leave Benfica to move to Madrid, with the clubs just awaiting confirmation that Manchester United don’t intend to trigger his buy-back clause. (Fabrizio Romano)
There will be a meeting next week to discuss Rodrygo Goes’ Real Madrid future. The club are open to letting him leave, and the final decision will be with the player. Tottenham
Mohammed Kudus has been officially confirmed as a new Tottenham player, joining from West Ham after completing his medical and other formal steps yesterday.
Kudus on his playing style: “I’m a very direct winger, strong, very good in taking players on and creating chances, so there is a lot of flair in my game. I like to entertain the fans as well. That’s what football is about.”
Tottenham are now closing in on the signing of Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest in another major deal, with Thomas Frank having previously been keen on the England midfielder when he was at Brentford. (David Ornstein)
