Arsenal have been dealt a major blow at the worst possible time, with star defender Gabriel Magalhaes suffering a muscle injury while on international duty with Brazil.

The Gunners have made a sensational start to the 2025/26 Premier League season, but the Brazilian’s absence could disrupt their defensive momentum.

Mikel Arteta’s side sit top of the Premier League with 26 points, having lost just once in their opening 11 matches.

Arsenal have scored 20 goals and conceded only five, the best defensive record in the league, largely thanks to the formidable partnership of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.

But that stability has now been shaken.
