Tottenham target likely to cost €70m after Euro 2024
Juventus and Napoli have also shown interest in the talented youngster.
Tottenham Hotspur are still interested in signing Ukraine attacking midfielder Giorgi Sudakov this summer but he is unlikely to come cheap.
Sudakov - who has been capped 14 times at senior international level - has a release clause in his current contract with Shakhtar Donetsk.
The value of that release clause has been widely reported as €150 million.
But Spurs will not need to pay quite that much to prise Sudakov away from Shakhtar.
According to Daily Briefing columnist Ben Jacobs, Shakhtar are likely to demand around €70m for the 21-year-old.
Jacobs explained via X.com on Monday morning: “Shakhtar ideally want to sell Giorgi Sudakov after Euro 2024 giving them time to analyse offers.
“They hope the tournament will also raise Sudakov’s value further.
“Understand it’s likely to take close to €70m for suitors to succeed. Spurs interest remains.”
As previously reported by Fabrizio Romano, Juventus and Napoli both approached Shakhtar regarding their interest in Sudakov midway through the 2023/24 season but were unable to agree a deal during the January transfer window.
Sudakov was part of a Shakhtar side that won the Ukrainian Premier League title for the third year in a row.
Shakhtar finished two points clear of Dynamo Kyiv.
In Europe, Shakhtar came third in a UEFA Champions League group that also included Barcelona, Porto and Antwerp.
That saw the Ukrainian champions drop into the Europa League, where they lost 5-3 over two legs to Marseille.
Sudakov scored against Marseille, having also found the net in a 2-1 defeat away at Barca.
He is set to play more European football this summer.
Ukraine will compete in Group E at Euro 2024 in Germany.
The other teams in Group E are Belgium, Slovakia and Romania.
