Liverpool and Juventus have reached an agreement over the €13m transfer of Federico Chiesa, who will be in England today as he closes in on finalising his move.

The Italy international immediately accepted a four-year contract from the Reds, and we can now say ‘here we go!’ for this exciting deal.

Chiesa was in the final year of his contract at Juventus, which gave Liverpool this opportunity to get him for a bargain fee, in my opinion, as I expect him to be a superb signing for Arne Slot’s side.

As I wrote earlier today, Chiesa is the perfect fit for Liverpool, he’s fast, and he deserves to play in a team with offensive football like Liverpool as Juventus under Allegri were too defensive.
