Here we go! Liverpool give player permission to undergo medical with new club as transfer almost a done deal
Fabrizio Romano has posted his update on this saga...
Fabrizio Romano has given the ‘here we go’ treatment to Fabio Carvalho’s loan move from Liverpool to Hull City in a post on X this afternoon.
The Portugal Under-21 international had also been the subject of interest from the likes of Southampton and Wolves this January after returning early from his loan spell at RB Leipzig.
Having struggled for playing time in Germany, Liverpool were keen to bring Carvalho back and loan him out again, and it seems Hull will be his next destination.
Posting on X in the last few minutes, Romano said: “Fabio Carvalho has received now the green light from Liverpool to travel and undergo medical tests at Hull City. Done deal on loan until June, there’s no option to buy. Here we go.”
Carvalho is an exciting young talent and Liverpool fans will hope he can get his career back on track with more playing time and valuable experience during this stint with Hull.
David Ornstein reported earlier today that Southampton were not giving up on this deal, but Romano’s latest update perhaps now suggests this one has got away from the Saints and is nearing a final conclusion.
If he cant breakthrough there he’s a gonna, guessing, but maybe he has an attitude problem 🤔
Great move for him, guaranteed game time (I hope) and will be ready next season if Mo Salah (or senior attacking players) leaves 👍🏾
