Former England youth international confirms he is leaving Arsenal
He will become a free agent on June 30.
Former England youth international Kido Taylor-Hart has confirmed that he will leave Arsenal this summer.
The 21-year-old, who was capped by England’s U17 side in 2019, has been part of the Gunners youth set-up since the age of nine.
London-born Taylor-Hart never made a first-team appearance for Arsenal but represented the club’s U21 side five times in the EFL Trophy.
He has been on loan at Bromley since September last year, making nine appearances and scoring one goal to help the club win promotion to the Football League.
Taylor-Hart - who can play as a striker, midfielder or winger - will become a free agent on June 30.
Fabrizio Romano reported via X.com on Tuesday: “Kido Taylor-Hart confirms he will leave Arsenal this summer after 13 years at the club”.
Romano also posted a quote from the player that read: “The club has quite literally seen me grow up and go from a boy to a man.
“Saying that it’s time to move on and I’m excited for what the future of my career holds.”
Arsenal could be set for a busy summer in the transfer market.
As revealed by Romano in an exclusive column on Monday, the Gunners will “100% bring in a new backup goalkeeper this summer”, while 18-year-old Ajax defender Jorrel Hato is also on the club’s watchlist.
Discussing the goalkeeping situation, Romano wrote: “One name being mentioned is former Gunners ‘keeper Wojciech Szczesny, but my understanding is that Szczesny has not clarified his situation with Juventus at this stage.
“Juventus like Monza goalkeeper Di Gregorio but nothing is decided yet, so also for Szczesny it’s all quiet so far.
“Chelsea are also attentive to the goalkeepers market, from what I heard, and I’m aware there have been reports about another former Arsenal player as Emi Martinez has been linked with the Blues after his superb form for Aston Villa.
“At the moment, Martinez is fully focused on Villa and loves being at the club. We will see what Chelsea decides to do, but it’s not something concrete at this stage.”
