Champions League round-up
Chelsea continue winless run with Atalanta defeat
Chelsea squandered a halftime advantage and slumped to a 2-1 Champions League defeat against Atalanta on Tuesday in Bergamo, leaving their top-eight qualification hopes hanging by a thread.
Enzo Maresca’s men took the lead through Joao Pedro’s sharp finish at the near post, but the Italian side roared back after the interval.
Former West Ham forward Gianluca Scamacca was given too much space to nod home the equaliser ten minutes into the second half, before Charles De Ketelaere sealed the comeback with a stunning late strike that flew past Robert Sánchez into the top corner.

Liverpool beat Inter at San Siro courtesy Szoboszlai penalty
Liverpool shrugged off the absence of Mohamed Salah to secure a 1-0 Champions League triumph over Inter Milan at the San Siro.
With their usual penalty-taker omitted from the squad following his heated outburst at head coach Arne Slot and the club after Saturday’s draw with Leeds, it was Dominik Szoboszlai who took responsibility, calmly slotting home an 88th-minute penalty to seal the victory.

Tottenham ease past Slavia Prague in Champions League
Second-half penalties from Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons guided Tottenham to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Slavia Prague, keeping their Champions League top-eight ambitions alive.
An unfortunate own goal from David Zima in the 26th minute put the hosts on course for all three points. Kudus doubled the lead with a composed penalty five minutes after the restart, before Simons added a late spot-kick with 11 minutes remaining to lift Spurs temporarily up to ninth in the league phase.
