Manchester City thrash Newcastle to set up Carabao Cup final clash with Arsenal
Manchester City made easy work of their second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle, scoring three goals in the first half at the Etihad Stadium to end the tie as a contest.
Omar Marmoush scored twice and Tijjani Reijnders added another as City went 5-0 up on aggregate, though Anthony Elanga pulled back a consolation in the second half.
Pep Guardiola’s side will now take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final in March after the Gunners beat Chelsea in their semi-final.
