Arsenal

  • Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal is still “absolutely on”, with the player having no plan to return to Sporting Lisbon and only wanting to play under Mikel Arteta. (Fabrizio Romano, CaughtOffside)

  • Viktor Gyokeres did not show up at Sporting Lisbon training yesterday as he continues to try to force a move to Arsenal. (Mais Futebol)

  • Sporting are blocking Gyokeres from joining Arsenal despite the Gunners already surpassing the Sweden international’s initial €60m plus €10m asking price, with the player furious at the Portuguese club. (David Ornstein)

  • Today is likely to be a key day in the Viktor Gyokeres saga. Sporting have told Gyokeres he must return to training, but he’s expected to refuse. Sporting are insisting to Arsenal that they want €70m fixed plus add-ons. Meanwhile, Arsenal and Gyokeres have an agreement on a five-year deal, and all parties want this resolved quickly.
