Mikel Arteta has provided a positive injury update on Noni Madueke.
“It looked really bad. Noni was really worried, especially after what happened in his other knee a few weeks ago, and he was out for six weeks. But no, it’s nowhere near that injury. That was really good news,” Arteta said (Evening Standard).

Chelsea
Chelsea have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of FC Koln winger Said El Mala. The German club is prepared to sell him for €40 million. (Florian Plettenberg).
Enzo Fernandez has been hit with a sanction following his outspoken comments on how Chelsea is being run. Manager Liam Rosenior has now confirmed that the player crossed a line and he needed to be punished.
“It’s disappointing for Enzo to speak that way,” Rosenior said.
“I have got no bad words to say about him but a line was crossed in terms of our culture and what we want to build. As a character, a person and a player, I have the utmost respect. He’s frustrated because he wants us to be successful.
“In terms of the decision, it’s not all about me, or the sporting directors. The ownership, the players, we are aligned in our decision.
“The door is not closed on Enzo. It’s a sanction. You have to protect the culture, and in terms of that, a line was crossed.”
