Switzerland top group after beating Canada
Switzerland secured a big 2-1 win over Canada in their final Group B match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, finishing top of the group after a strong second-half performance.
After a quiet opening 45 minutes, Ruben Vargas broke the deadlock just after the restart before Johan Manzambi doubled the Swiss lead soon after.
Canada showed fight late in the match, with substitute Promise David scoring in the 76th minute to bring the home crowd back to life. However, Switzerland stayed composed under pressure and protected their lead until the final whistle.

Vini Jr. double sends Scotland home
Brazil produced their best performance of the 2026 FIFA World Cup so far as they beat Scotland 3-0 to finish top of Group C.
Vinícius Júnior was the star of the night, scoring twice and constantly causing problems with his pace, movement and finishing.
Matheus Cunha also got on the scoresheet as Brazil showed the attacking quality many expected from them before the tournament.

South Africa beat South Korea to quality for knockouts
South Africa created history at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a hard-fought 1-0 win over South Korea in their final Group A match.
Thapelo Maseko was the hero, scoring the decisive goal in the second half to give South Africa one of the biggest results in their football history.
South Korea had plenty of the ball and pushed hard for an equaliser, especially late in the game, but South Africa defended with real discipline and determination.

Mexico continue winning start by beating Czechia
Mexico continued their perfect start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a convincing 3-0 win over Czechia in their final Group A match.
After a tight first half, the hosts took control after the break, with Mateo Chávez opening the scoring before Julián Quiñones quickly doubled the lead.
Czechia needed a big result to keep their hopes alive, but they struggled to create clear chances and could not cope with Mexico’s intensity in the second half.
Álvaro Fidalgo added a late third goal to complete a dominant night for El Tri.
