I hope it’s the first of many to bring much joy to these fans.”
Gary Neville on Caicedo: “He’s the best midfield player in the league at this moment in time. And I think I’m comfortable saying that. Jamie Redknapp on Chelsea: “Winning the Club World Cup was huge for this team, but it’s come at a cost. Look at PSG, they’re decimated by injuries. So I think Chelsea will be a slow burner as well, and we’ll get better as the season goes on. And we’re so quick to judge teams right now, but it doesn’t matter after seven, eight games. It matters at the end of the season, and I think Chelsea are going to get stronger and stronger.” (Sky Sports)

Mason Mount on Lammens: “It’s important in the Premier League keeping clean sheets, you have chances to score and then to keep the clean sheet in the second half was so important. He was solid, when we were under pressure, the option was Ben [Sesko] and we worked off that. Buzzing for him, everyone was around him today, it can be tough making your first start, we want to be together and I felt that today so we keep moving forward.”

The media puts a lot of pressure on the goals for the striker but for me it’s the effort that is the most important thing. Every time we kick the ball he’s fighting for it, that’s massive for us. To win the second ball and give us time to breathe. I’m really happy with that.”
