Chelsea held at home by a determined Bournemouth
Bournemouth claimed a hard-fought point away at struggling Chelsea on Tuesday, drawing 2-2 after a frantic first half in the Premier League.
The visitors took a shock early lead after six minutes when David Brooks finished from close range following a long throw that rebounded off goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
Chelsea responded in the 15th minute, with Cole Palmer converting a penalty after VAR confirmed Antoine Semenyo’s foul on Estevao.
Enzo Fernandez put the hosts back in front with a powerful strike eight minutes later, but Bournemouth hit back again in the 27th minute as Justin Kluivert capitalised on a miscued header from Trevoh Chalobah after another Semenyo long throw.

Arsenal make statement against Aston Villa
Arsenal produced a dominant second-half performance to claim a statement 4-1 victory over Premier League title rivals Aston Villa at the Emirates.
After a goalless first half, the hosts struck twice in quick succession through Gabriel and Martín Zubimendi, before Leandro Trossard’s long-range effort sealed the result.
Substitute Gabriel Jesus added a fourth, with Ollie Watkins grabbing a late consolation for Villa in stoppage time.

Man United struggle against 20th placed Wolves
Manchester United ended a turbulent 2025 with a disappointing 1-1 home draw against bottom-placed Wolves, giving manager Rob Edwards his first point in charge.
Joshua Zirkzee’s opener was cancelled out before half-time by Ladislav Krejcí’s headed equaliser, which ended Wolves’ 11-game losing run.
Despite missing several senior players, Wolves earned just their third point of a bleak season, drawing loud approval from the travelling fans.
