Spurs edge closer to relegation
Roberto De Zerbi’s first match as Tottenham manager ended in disappointment as Spurs suffered a 1-0 defeat to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Tottenham thought they had won a penalty in the 21st minute, but the decision was overturned, while Brian Brobbey, Richarlison and Dominic Solanke all came close in an open first half.
Sunderland secured the victory early in the second half when Nordi Mukiele’s deflected effort found the net, giving Regis Le Bris’ side back-to-back league wins.

Man City put pressure on Arsenal with statement win
Manchester City strengthened their Premier League title charge with an impressive 3-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, reducing the gap at the summit to six points.
Nico O’Reilly kept up his fine scoring run by opening the scoring early in the second half, before Marc Guéhi netted his first league goal for the club.
Jérémy Doku then capitalised on a costly mistake from Moisés Caicedo to seal a convincing win and pile further misery on Chelsea.
