Everton stunned by Liverpool at home
Virgil van Dijk scored a stoppage-time header to give Liverpool a dramatic win over Everton in the first Merseyside derby at Hill Dickinson Stadium, boosting their hopes of Champions League qualification.
Mohamed Salah opened the scoring in the 29th minute, matching Steven Gerrard’s record of nine Merseyside derby goals. Everton responded in the second half through Beto, who equalised with his fourth goal in three matches.
Just as the match seemed destined for a draw, Van Dijk powered home Dominik Szoboszlai’s corner deep into added time to secure all three points. The victory moved Liverpool seven points clear of sixth-placed Chelsea with five games remaining.

Arsenal suffer title race blow against Man City
Erling Haaland scored the decisive goal as Manchester City defeated Arsenal 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium, reducing the Gunners’ Premier League lead to just three points.
City had taken the lead through Rayan Cherki, but Arsenal equalised when Kai Havertz capitalised on a costly mistake by goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Haaland restored City’s advantage in the 65th minute, sealing an important win in the title race.
The result marked Arsenal’s second straight defeat, while City, who still have a game in hand, gained momentum in their pursuit of another league title.
