Spain produced their best performance of the 2026 FIFA World Cup so far with a dominant 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia in Group H.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring after just 10 minutes, setting the tone for a one-sided contest.
Mikel Oyarzabal then scored twice in quick succession to put Spain firmly in control before half-time, while Saudi defender Hassan Al-Tambakti’s own goal early in the second half completed the scoring.

Cabo Verde earned a memorable 2-2 draw against Uruguay in Group H, continuing their impressive World Cup debut.
Kevin Pina scored their first-ever World Cup goal with a brilliant free-kick.
Uruguay hit back through Maxi Araújo and Agustín Canobbio to lead 2-1, but Cabo Verde refused to fold.

Egypt fight back to claim historic win
Egypt secured a memorable 3-1 win over New Zealand at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, earning their first-ever victory in the competition. New Zealand took the lead through Finn Surman, but Egypt responded brilliantly after half-time.
Mostafa Zico equalised with a header before Mohamed Salah put Egypt ahead with a classy finish.
Mahmoud Trezeguet then sealed the win with another header, giving Egypt a huge result in Group G.
