Man United and Liverpool not giving up on transfer target despite Real Madrid interest
Premier League clubs want French defender to solve their defensive crisis.
Lille defender Leny Yoro is one of the hottest young prospects in world football right now.
The teenage defender has attracted the attention of some of the biggest clubs in the world, including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Liverpool.
All the teams are searching the market for a new defender this summer and Yoro is someone who has impressed all the clubs.
However, the player wants to join Real Madrid and the Champions League winners are currently leading the race to sign him.
Both Man United and Liverpool are aiming to add defensive firepower to their squad this summer but they might have to look for other options if Real Madrid win the race to sign Yoro.
The transfer saga is still going on with French champions PSG also in the mix and not ready to give up on signing the young defender.
According to information provided by Fabrizio Romano on X, the French defender is likely to join Real Madrid but other clubs are circling around him and they have not given up.
Romano tweeted:
Real Madrid remain the favorite destination of Leny Yoro, waiting for club's decision on whether they want to proceed with the deal or not.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain remain very active in talks for Yoro.
PSG are not giving up, as well as Liverpool and Man United.
Yoro's contract expires in June of next year, and it is widely accepted that he will be moving this summer.
He was an important player for the French club during the 2023–24 season, making 44 appearances in all competitions.
It wouldn't be shocking to see Yoro move to Bernabeu since hardly any team would fancy their chances of competing against Real Madrid for a player and emerging victorious.
PSG are actively involved in talks to sign the defender but it remains to be seen who wins the race for his signature.
Meanwhile, Man United defender Victor Lindelof could be heading to Turkey as Fenerbahce are interested in signing him.
