Carabao Cup round-up
Arsenal win 1st leg against Chelsea in dramatic fashion
Liam Rosenior’s first home game as Chelsea manager ended in a 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in a thrilling Carabao Cup semifinal first leg at Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal looked on course for Wembley after Ben White and Viktor Gyökeres put them 2-0 up early in the second half. Rosenior responded with an inspired change, introducing Alejandro Garnacho, who quickly pulled one back.
Martín Zubimendi restored Arsenal’s two-goal lead, but Garnacho struck again from a corner to keep the tie alive ahead of the return leg in three weeks.
