Premier League round-up
Haaland inspires Man City to beat Crystal Palace
Manchester City closed the gap to just two points behind the Premier League leaders with a commanding 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Erling Haaland and Phil Foden struck in each half before Haaland added a late penalty, sealing City’s fourth consecutive league win and keeping the pressure firmly on Arsenal.

Sunderland beat Newcastle in Wear-Tyne derby
Nick Woltemade’s unfortunate own goal handed Sunderland a 1-0 victory over Newcastle in the Wear-Tyne derby.
In a bruising first half that produced few clear-cut opportunities, the breakthrough came just a minute after the restart.
Woltemade, under little pressure, misjudged a header from Nordi Mukiele’s cross, sending the ball crashing off the underside of the bar and into his own net to gift Sunderland the lead.

Nottingham Forest inflict more mistery on Tottenham
Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario endured a nightmare afternoon as his side slumped to a dismal 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
The Italian shot-stopper was at fault twice as Callum Hudson-Odoi’s brace propelled Forest toward a vital three points. First, Vicario’s misplaced pass put youngster Archie Gray under pressure, leading to the opener, before he was caught out by a looping cross that sailed into the net for Hudson-Odoi’s second.
There was nothing Vicario could do to stop Ibrahim Sangaré’s stunning strike, capping off a miserable day for Spurs.
