Man United continue talks with Erik ten Hag over a new contract
The Red Devils are involved in discussions with his agents over a new deal.
Manchester United have completed their end of the season review and they have decided to keep manager Erik ten Hag at the club.
The Red Devils have decided to show faith in the Dutch manager, who guided the club to FA Cup win against Manchester City last month.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the future of the former Ajax manager but it is all settled now with the club deciding to stick with him.
Ten Hag is set to sign a new contract at the club to extend his current deal and talks have already started between the Premier League club and the manager's agents.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on X, the club and the manager have started talks over an agreement on a new contract with the club showing complete faith in the abilities of the manager.
Romano tweeted:
"Talks between Manchester United and Erik ten Hag's agents are already underway and advanced, with all parties anticipating an agreement on new contract.
"Ten Hag, happy to sign and continue the project while INEOS want to give him total trust for the future. Work in progress."
The Man United manager faced criticism for a disappointing season as they finished eighth in the Premier League, which is their worst finish in the competition.
The Premier League club engaged in discussions with other manager to discuss taking charge of the club but all those talks ended without anything materialising between the two parties.
The club ultimately decided that Ten Hag is the best manager available to take the club forward and get them back to their former glory.
The club are now thinking about bringing fresh faces to help the manager and provide him with the best platform to perform next season.
As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Man United decided to keep Ten Hag at the club for his wonderful work with young players like Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.
The manager has developed the two youngsters well and his efforts were rewarded when they both scored against Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
