🔵Manchester City star sets date to decide on possible move amid links with Premier League rivals
Is he going to change his mind about his future?
Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is yet to make a decision on his future after choosing to stay at the club during the summer.
Despite transfer rumours linking Phillips with the likes of Newcastle United and Everton, it seems it’s still a bit early to be making any firm predictions about the England international’s future, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Writing in his column for the Daily Briefing this morning, Romano stressed that it would be more like next month when Phillips would make a decision on a possible move.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are also yet to firm up their January transfer window plans, as it will depend on how they perform in their Champions League group.
“Despite links with Newcastle and Everton, I’m not aware of concrete talks on this one. Phillips wanted to stay at City this summer despite some approaches, so he’s still focused on doing his best for City and then a decision will be made later, like November or December,” Romano said.
He added: “Newcastle won’t decide anything on transfer targets before they know what happens in their Champions League group.”
