Mikel Arteta hints at new signings at Arsenal in the summer
Arsenal manager has outlined his plans for the transfer window.
Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has alluded to a busy summer in north London, stating that he and the sporting director Edu "are not satisfied" with the Gunners' current position.
Arsenal may potentially win the Premier League at the end of the 2023–2024 season, despite some opinions that the team has not yet reached the pinnacle of the Spaniard's project.
Arsenal made strides toward improvement, but their quarterfinal Champions League loss to Bayern Munich demonstrated that they still have a long way to go.
The Arsenal manager signed players like Declan Rice, David Raya, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber last summer to make the Gunners stronger.
He is expected to do the same this summer with the club looking to make new signings.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on his X account, the North London club are already planning for their summer business.
Arteta said about his plans with Edu, as quoted by Romano:
"We have a few ideas, yes".
"We have to see where we finish first and to see what we are capable of doing. See how we are going to make another step or two steps forward because we are not satisfied with where we are".
The Gunners are going to be busy in the summer with plans to strengthen a number of positions.
Arteta has been fully backed by the club in the past and they plan to do the same this summer.
The North London club have once again challenged for the Premier League title this season. Whether they win it this time, remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been boosted by the return of Jurrien Timber, who scored a magnificent goal on his comeback.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva but Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the rumours.
The Premier League leaders are expected to make a move for a new striker. Charles Watts has named their potential targets.
