After a stunning Carabao Cup victory over Manchester City, there could soon be some more good news to follow for Newcastle and their supporters.

Eddie Howe is slowly but surely building a side capable of challenging on all fronts, and key to their successes thus far is Brazilian midfield dynamo, Bruno Guimaraes.

The player quickly established himself as a fan favourite at St. James’ Park and has been one of Howe’s most reliable performers as the squad go from strength to strength.

An official announcement concerning his new contract should be long in coming according to Fabrizio Romano.

If the announcement was to come ahead of the expected Champions League epic against Paris Saint-Germain next week too, it would undoubtedly add to what should be the best atmosphere heard at St. James Park in decades.
