🔴 Pedro Neto appreciated by Arsenal and could also be an "opportunity" for Manchester United and other clubs
Fabrizio Romano with the latest on Pedro Neto's future...
Pedro Neto looks like one to watch on the market in 2024, with Arsenal and Manchester United emerging as options for the in-form Wolves winger.
Neto has been on fire in the Premier League recently, scoring a superb solo effort against Luton Town and showing his pace and skill to force an own goal in Wolves’ win over Manchester City this weekend.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are admirers of Neto, with the growing feeling being that he could be on the move in 2024.
And while it’s not yet clear if Manchester United will move to sign a replacement for Jadon Sancho, Romano did acknowledge that someone like Neto looks like he could be an option for the Red Devils if they do decide to make a change in that department.
What has Romano said about the Neto transfer situation?
Writing in today’s Daily Briefing column, Romano said: “Pedro Neto is having a fantastic season, he’s really performing at a super level recently and in particular against Manchester City this weekend, so what’s his situation?
“Of course, he’s a Wolves player and we need to respect that and to allow them to enjoy this incredible talent, but, at the same time, there is the feeling that in 2024 we will see important clubs coming in for Neto. There’s no clarity at all on price tag now, also because in the summer for Wolves it was not even a topic to sell Pedro Neto, he was untouchable.
“Arsenal have been tracking the player, they know the player very well, and they wanted him last year, but there are also other clubs keeping an eye on the situation. Many clubs are considering Neto as a target and they know he’s a very good player, though I can’t name these clubs as of now. But as I said, in 2024 Neto’s situation could be one to watch.”
On Man Utd he added: “Just one final point on Man United and Jadon Sancho - at the moment there is no significant update to report, and I’m not aware of any decision on a potential new winger signing in January. There are many good opportunities around such as Pedro Neto who I’ve already mentioned and who is a fantastic player, but it’s absolutely not sure or guaranteed that Man United will spend big money in January.”
