The PGMOL has released the VAR audio surrounding the controversial decision to disallow Virgil van Dijk’s 38th-minute equaliser against Manchester City.

The incident occurred during Liverpool’s eventual 3-0 defeat on Sunday when Van Dijk headed home from a corner, only for the goal to be ruled out after assistant referee Stuart Burt raised his flag.

The decision centered on Liverpool’s Andy Robertson, who was in an offside position and ducked as the ball passed him.

PGMOL immediately released a statement to explain the decision but it was not satisfactory, with Liverpool officially raising concerns with the PGMOL chief Howard Webb.

But the audio released does not help as the Howard Webb as it only further exposes the bizarre decision.
