Mauricio Pochettino spoke at length on various subjects in his press conference on Friday: “I’m really happy to be here at Chelsea. We are working really hard now… I trust this football club. I trust in Paul, Lawrence and the owner to provide me with the tools to be competitive… I don’t know what happened with Mount but we have to move on. The past is the past… We have quality and we are going to add more quality… I’m here to win, not to do a nice job… if you don’t win at a club like Chelsea, you’ll be in trouble… Romelu Lukaku has to come back July 12/13 to be part of the squad to start pre-season. With all the players that arrive, first thing that they're doing is to come to my office and say hello. That's what I expect if he's still a Chelsea player… We’ll see (if we need another striker), or maybe we go to the pre-season and we realise that we need to improve in different positions or add more players that can score… I don’t like to talk about players in another club, but you are talking about one of the greatest strikers in the world (Harry Kane). It’s not fair to talk, it’s not fair to say nothing. My relationship with Harry has always been amazing.”
England U16 star, Frankie Runham, has committed his long term future to Chelsea. Deal signed and completed.
John Terry is back at Chelsea where he will work for the academy.
