PSG manager Luis Enrique slams critics after his early substituion of Kylian Mbappe
Enrique wasn't pleased with how people questioned him over Mbappe..
Luis Enrique, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, stated that he doesn't care about what people think of his substitutions, following Kylian Mbappe's reaction against Marseille.
Mbappe's seven-year stint with PSG is coming to an end, and Real Madrid have been identified as his next potential stop.
The Frenchman was taken off 25 minutes from time and he wasn't pleased with his manager's decision to take him off.
The former Monaco attacker did not hide his displeasure with Enrique's decision.
However, his replacement Goncalo Ramos scored a late goal in the French club's win against Marseille, that took them another step closer to the league title.
After the match, the PSG boss made his feelings clear about the situation.
“People don't agree with my decision? I don't care”.
“It's the same music every week, the same music... it's boring”.
"I am the manager. I make decisions every week”.
“I do my best for PSG, I will do this until my final day in Paris”.
In 14 consecutive Ligue 1 games over the fall and winter, Mbappe played 90 minutes; on February 10, he was benched against Lille. But in the six games that have followed, he has only once completed 90 minutes.
Perhaps it is a sign of the Ligue 1 leaders preparing for life without the talented attacker.
With 24 goals in the league this season and 6 goals in the Champions League, Mbappe is leading the way in both the competitions.
He will be keen to add to his goals tally in Europe soon when his PSG side face Barcelona in the quarterfinal of the UEFA Champions League.
PSG manager Enrique is looking forward to next season and the club has already planned three new signings.
