I’ve done a bit more digging on Real Madrid’s midfield targets, and received some interesting new information this morning about possible raids on Premier League clubs.
As has been widely reported, Xabi Alonso was really keen to bring Martin Zubimendi to the Bernabeu before he wound up choosing Arsenal, and since then we’ve seen a lot of talk about Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton.
But my understanding is that he’s not the only big name from an English club on Madrid’s list.
