AC Milan

  • Paulo Fonseca left Rafael Leao on the AC Milan bench for their game against Monza on Saturday. It was the third time the winger had been left out in four games. “I made my choice. There’s no conflict. I don’t want to enter into details, it’s private topic. This is the correct squad to face Monza. We play Real next week, I’m managing the players,” Fonseca said.

Arsenal

  • Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat against Newcastle Saturday saw them drop even further behind leaders Liverpool. Mikel Arteta remained adamant that the Gunners don’t need a player like Alexander Isak. After the game, he said: “I love my players and I wouldn't change them for anybody else.”

  • Mikel Arteta also bigged up Ethan Nwaneri: "He can fly and don't clip any wings. At 17 years old, to be in a position like he is in at one of the biggest clubs in Europe, I think sums up really well the level that he has,” he said.
