🚨 TALKS held: Man City star's name being discussed by Champions League giants for January
Could this surprise move be on the cards?
Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is one of the names being discussed as an option for the January transfer window by Bayern Munich.
The England international has barely featured for Man City since joining last season, and one imagines he’ll soon feel he has to move on if he is to get his career back on track.
Bayern would be a big opportunity for Phillips, and Daily Briefing columnist Christian Falk says this could be one to watch for January, as per information he’s heard from his sources.
“According to our information, Kalvin Phillips (27) is one of the candidates who are currently being discussed at FC Bayern for the winter,” Falk posted on X.
Bayern notably tried to sign Joao Palhinha from Fulham during the summer, only for the deal to fall through late on, and Fabrizio Romano recently wrote in his Daily Briefing column that he expected the Bundesliga giants to revive that move.
Meanwhile, another name on Bayern’s radar is Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone, who was also on Liverpool’s radar in the summer.
According to Falk, he’s now being monitored by Bayern, while Liverpool also retain an interest in him.
