Times are tough at Tottenham right now, and I’m told this could lead to major spending in this month’s transfer window to try to improve the club’s situation.
There’s no doubt Thomas Frank is a man under pressure, with fans booing last night’s performance as Spurs could only draw 0-0 with Brentford. From within the club, however, my understanding is that Frank remains safe for the time being.
Although this might be a risky strategy that many fans won’t agree with, it looks like, if anything, we can expect Tottenham to back Frank with yet more significant spending, with a budget possibly as high as £150m, with two main targets in mind.
